Always brush in the direction of hair growth with smooth, gentle strokes. Start with the pen brush that penetrates the thick undercoat, followed by the bristle side for the "polishing" effect, which makes the coat smooth and shiny. Never brush aggressively. Repeat twice weekly for medium coated breeds and daily for long-haired breeds.
