With Fluval's unique intelligent pump technology, you just need to connect the filter to the power supply thanks to the self-suction system, and the filter starts by itself. The filter then fills with water, briefly interrupts the operation to deflate air and then immediately starts with the filter process. The filter is then carried out until the unit is disconnected from the mains supply. Every 12 hours the filter interrupts the operation to allow air to enter the system. In this way, the vacuum required for maximum efficiency is maintained.
