You will find that the K&H heated bed may not feel warm if your pet is not on the mat. This is normal. K&H products are designed to only warm when your pet is lying in bed. You can test the pad by placing a large cushion on it. Feel under the pillow after about 20 minutes. It will feel warm, not hot. When you feel heat, the product works as intended.
