How to use this pet nail clippers
Hold the pet's paws
Hold nail between thumb and fingers. You want to apply a little pressure to ensure that the paw does not move, but you do not want to press too hard as this could cause discomfort.
Cutting nails
Most cats will try to free themselves with their hind legs, so you should first shear the back paws to avoid nasty scratches. Some cats let their owners shorten their claws while taking a nap on their lap. For this reason, you should consider having a hair clipper nearby when cuddling with your kitten.
After cutting
Don't forget to shorten your cat's afterclaws! These little claws are located on the front of each leg and just below the wrists and look like a cat's thumb. As these thumb-like claws are rarely used, the claws grow over and can cause pain for your cat. Check them at least once a month to make sure they are maintained.
