Renaltan Tonic

Thanks to its content of calcium carbonate as a phosphate binder, excess phosphate binds in the intestine to form indigestible complexes, so it can be excreted directly. Filtration through already weakened kidneys is thus greatly reduced. This relieves the strain on the kidneys without compromising the cat’s protein intake.

If switching your cat to kidney diet food is difficult or your pet refuses the food completely, administering a phosphate binder with the cat’s usual food is a suitable alternative for treating renal insufficiency (RI). In advanced stages of renal dysfunction, a combination of phosphate binder and kidney diet is recommended.

When using a phosphate binder, regular monitoring of blood levels by a veterinarian is recommended.

All RECOACTIV products include essential vitamins and trace elements, and consist of natural, food quality ingredients. They are free of grains, sugar, dyes and preservatives.
