How to adjust and start the Halti No Pull Anti Pull Harness

Step 1: To choose the right size of Halti No Pull Anti Pull Harness for your dog, we always recommend measuring your dog's neck and then consult our size chart. Further details on measuring your dog can also be found in our size chart.

Move the slider on the back of the harness near the ring at the top of the leg straps.

Step 2: Keep the harness with the chest piece facing you, curl your dog's head through the neck opening with a treat and place the neck and leg straps over your dog's head.

Step 3: Lift your dog's front paws (one at a time) through the leg straps and adjust the padded leg cuffs to sit in your dog's armpits.

Step 4: Adjust the fit of the collar with the sliders. Between your dog's band and neck should fit 1-2 fingers.

Step 5: Slide the leg strap slider back down so that it is approx. 5 cm from the guide rings.

Step 6: For optimal training without pulling, we always recommend using a Halti training lead with double clip. Attach the small clip of your leash to the front control ring of the harness and the larger clip to the back ring of the harness.

Step 7: Bring your dog to a quiet place and practice walking around with the harness while holding the leash with both hands. You should only insert the harness when your dog actually pulls. Its unique, patented design works with a combination of stop-pull lifting motion and front control. Keep rewarding your dog when he runs without pulling.
