Aquarium Safety Control Heater

Fish adapt to the outside temperature. The life functions of the changeable warm animals sink with falling temperatures. The right aquarium temperature is therefore very important to ensure trouble-free food intake and a smooth function of the metabolism. Depending on the origin of the fish, the temperature at which they feel comfortable.

The safety control heater from JBL offers optimal temperature transmission in the range of 20-34°C. With the help of the adjustment wheel, a control accuracy of +/- 0.5 °C is guaranteed. However, additional control with an aquarium thermometer during the first two days after commissioning is absolutely necessary.

A plastic protective basket around the safety quartz glass prevents fish from burning upon contact with the hot surface and provides additional protection against breakage due to careless handling.

JBL ProTemp adjustable heaters are waterproof, submersible up to 100 cm and very stable thanks to safety quartz glass. A safety thermoswitch in the heater interrupts the power supply in case of excessive heating, e.g. when the water level drops or the heater is removed from the water. Note: The safety thermal switch is not to be understood as an automatic, which eliminates the need to pull the power plug when changing water.

The short and compact design allows the heater to be installed vertically in almost all standard aquariums. The heater can also be installed in a horizontal position.

For installation, insert the heater into the included protective basket, select the desired temperature on the adjustment wheel and the heater at least up to the line "min. water level" into the aquarium. Attach with the suction cups. Once the heater is connected to the mains the indicator light will light up.

The maximum temperature achieved with a heater in an aquarium depends on the water volume and the temperature difference to the surrounding room.
