Product Description
FURminator deShedding Tool Dog S Short Hair For Undercoat - Removes up to 90% of loose hair. 10-20 minutes of use per week.
What is the difference between brushes and deShedding?
Brushing and combing is not the same as removing undercoat (deShedding). When brushing, the top coat is primarily cleaned of knots and dirt. When deShedding, loose, dead undercoat is removed without hurting the coat (when used properly). A FURminator deShedding tool removes significantly more loose hair than a conventional comb or brush.
Why are brushing and deshedding so important?
Daily brushing and weekly removal of the fancy undercoat is important for a healthy coat. Grooming usually affects only two hair types: the undercoat and the top hair. When the hair stops growing, they are repelled from the hair follicle to make room for renewable hair. Different breeds of dogs hair differently. Loose hair that is not regularly removed from the coat can attract moisture and mix with dust, dirt or mud. If they are left in the coat, tangles form over time, which make it difficult to reform follicles. Removing these tangles can therefore be painful for your dog or cause skin irritation that can potentially lead to minor injuries and inflammation. The lower layers of fur can remain matted and become uncomfortable. Remove your pet's undercoat once or twice a week to reduce loose hair caused by normal fur changes.
That's why you need the FURminator deShedding Tool:
The FURminator deShedding Tool gently removes loose, dead undercoat during coat change without cutting or damaging the top coat. The undercoat picked up by the blade can be easily removed from the tool with the practical FURejector push button. When not in use, the prongs are protected by a push-out cover.
Is the FURminator deShedding Tool suitable for your dog?
This FURminator undercoat brush is suitable for small dogs weighing 4.5 kg - 9 kg and short fur (less than 5 cm hair length), such as pug, parson jack, russell terrier, short haired polish, miniature pinscher and miniature schnauzer. The deShedding tool is only suitable for breeds with undercoat.
Directions
Use the tool 1-2 times a week for 10-20 minutes each on dry coat.
Remove knots and tangles from the fur with the FURminator adjustable detangler or rake comb before using the deShedding tool. Use the tool like a brush and gently drive in the direction of growth through your pet's coat. The stainless steel tines should be inclined towards the fur. Start at your pet's head and work your way backwards, be careful in sensitive areas such as the stomach. The undercoat absorbed by the blade can be easily removed from the tool with the practical push button.
