Species-appropriate and easy to digest
JBL PRONOVO BEL FLAKES BABY
The composition of the ideal growing food for young fish depends on many factors. The young fish are in growth and need important nutrients for development. Vital vitamins and the bioelement inositol are required to strengthen the immune system and therefore contain in the right amount. For young fish, it is very important that the food size fits the mouth size. It is better to feed a food that is too small than a food that is too large. The adapted phosphate content of the feed is essential for healthy bone formation. Too little phosphate and calcium leads to bone deformation. If the young fish are large enough, a supplement with live artemia (salt crabs) is ideal. JBL offers a complete program = JBL Artemio.
How do young fish feed?
For young fish, there is a distinction between egg-laying and live-bearing species. The young fish of egg-laying species are significantly smaller after hatching and feed on small creatures that they find in their surroundings. Many types then also take liquid food (PRONOVO BEL FLUID) and shortly thereafter fine dust food (e.g. bag no. 1 from the Pronovo Bel baby set).
If the parents are engaged in breeding care (e.g. for cichlids), a long pipette or a piece of hose helps to bring the food dissolved in water to the young fish. In live-bearing or mule breeding species, the young fish are larger and immediately eat the food from bag no. 2 from JBL PRONOVO BEL BABY and live Artemia (JBL Artemio system).

High-quality raw materials
No cheap fish meal is processed during production. JBL also uses only fish meat that remains during fillet production. So no fish need to be caught for food production. The optimal, balanced feed mixtures made from high-quality ingredients are created by the results of JBL research expeditions and the knowledge of the JBL research and development team.

Flakes or granules?
There are few arguments for or against the type of food. However, if you use a feeder, you must choose granulate food, as almost all feeders are only suitable for granules. If a feeder is due for the next holiday, you should get your fish used to the granules from the machine in time. Some fish are difficult to change from granules to flake or vice versa.
