JBL PRONOVO DAPH
Previously, almost every aquarium in nature caught water fleas themselves and fed them to their fish. Today, it is often prohibited for nature conservation reasons and many waters are now so heavily stressed that you should no longer catch food animals without hesitation. JBL uses trusted suppliers who have legal access to absolutely clean waters with non-hazardous water flea populations. The water fleas are made durable and packaged directly after catching by sun-drying. This preserves their valuable ingredients and fibre and benefits the diet of ornamental fish.
What are Daphnia?
Water fleas (Daphnia) are 1-5 mm in size, biologically part of the gill foot crabs and thus the freshwater plankton of standing waters. They are not one of the creek flea crabs that grow up to 2 cm long, which look completely different, rather live in rivers and belong to the amphipods.
Extended menu
To expand the menu of ornamental fish, a supplement of the main feed with freeze-dried foods is highly recommended. For this purpose, the following types of feed are available: JBL PRONOVO DAPH (water fleas), JBL PRONOVO ARTEMIO (brine crabs), JBL PRONOVO FEX (tubifex/stream tube worms), JBL PRONOVO FIL (red mosquito larvae).
