The Fluval FX2 filter combines high FX performance into the most space-saving and affordable design in the series yet. Designed for an aquarium capacity of 750L, the FX2 is equipped with all the FX series features you know and love, such as the basket-in-basket media tray design that allows for greater media capacity, flexibility, and thorough cleaning. As with all Fluval filters, water flows through each media level in the right order to ensure thorough cleaning. This process is more efficient and effective than traditional filters that push water in one pass through all stages. The FX2 filter contains all filter media - mechanical, chemical and biological. Its patented Smart Pump™ technology is self-priming and activates only seconds after contact with water. It continuously monitors the pump, impeller speed and power to ensure maximum efficiency, and systematically shuts off every 12 hours to allow trapped air to escape. With a variety of special features, such as its leak-proof Aquastop click valves, its dual outlet nozzles for individual water currents, and its rubber feet that reduce vibration and noise, the Fluval FX2 canister filter for fish keepers is designed to spend more time enjoying their aquarium and spending less time maintenance.
